Responsive - Oranges

Since my cover design for Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit will include lots of oranges I had a go at drawing some:

The top few are in coloured pencil, two in the middle are in gouache and the rest are gouache with pencil shading. I think the combination of gouache and coloured pencil looks great and conveys a nice traditional look which I think is appropriate for the story, rather than going digital with this.

I scanned in the gouache + pencil ones and tiled them up as in the thumbnail to create a yummy sea of oranges. This will be the basis for the cover and will work nicely as a back cover too.
