Figure and object colouring

I decided to take the blues from this colour palette I got from an online generator and then do a quick colour rough on the computer.
This is the final image, done with ink and dip pen and coloured on Photoshop.
  • I think the elements of the composition help lead the eye to the focal point of the skull
  • The value range is wide which helps keep attention to the focal point as well. I didn't do any marks of shading on the skull in order to enhance this.
  • I forgot to do the shadow of the figure on the seat with the dip pen so had to do it in Photoshop which looks a bit misplaced.
  • The way the floor disappears into the background flattens the image slightly. I didn't know how to address this.
  • The shape of the shadow looks inaccurate but I don't know why.
  • I wonder if maybe I should've added texture to the black background or something similar to make it more interesting/suggest more of a structure to the castle or wherever the figure is.
